Monday Afternoon at Lake Ontario

This is what the lake looked like today. It was very windy, so the waves were breaking on the beach. Unlike an ocean, Lake Ontario is calm when the weather is calm. When the weather is stormy or windy, the lake becomes active. I took this video in Webster Park.

Take a Look at the Jeopardy Games We Created

Go to the following links to play our Jeopardy games. We worked in groups to pool and test our knowledge about several interesting topics. We used English for an authentic task, and demonstrated higher order thinking skills as we analysed, synthesized, evaluated information and created our games. Test yourself, and let us know what you think about our project.
(Press START after you go to the game boards.)

Musical Offerings at Naz This Weekend

This weekend's concert offerings from the Department of Music present the beauty of musical tone in its uppermost voices, first through the instrumental incarnation of the flute, and then with the glories of the operatic coloratura soprano.
Flutist Annette Farrington will be joined by various colleagues in a program of lyric and enchanting duos on Friday evening at 7:30 PM in the Wilmot Recital Hall.
On Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM, soprano Soo Yeon Kim is joined in Wilmot Recital Hall by pianist James Douthit in a program of thrilling coloratura arias and art songs.
Both programs are free.
